The ANRS & Rodeo Exes Association is an independent non-profit, charitable organization recognized
by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as an eligible 501(c)(3) entity. The mission of the Association
is to promote Sul Ross State University and to raise funds to be disbursed to deserving Agricultural
students and rodeo participants by the University. Neither the Board, nor the membership, of the
Association has any part in the selection of scholarship recipients. Membership to the Association
is open to all individuals interested in the mission and activities of the Association.

2010 Reunion Schedule/Agenda
Remember that we have a Reunion All-Around competition. Points are awarded to the top finishers in the poker tournament (an average of Friday's and Saturday's Tournaments will be used), the arena events, and the golf tournament. To be eligible, you must be an Ex and compete in at least two of these three events. The Reunion All Around Champion will be the highest overall placing individual and will receive a cash prize. In the event of a tie - a fair event has been scheduled which will follow the golf tournament.

** NEW BUCKLES ADDED ** In an effort to encourage more participation among our more mature members, AW and Kathy McCrary have generously donated two additional buckles to the Association to be included in the Exes Roping for a 50 and over Champion Header and Heeler (see our definition of 50 and over below).
Open Barrel Race: $30 entry. Breast Collar awarded to winner. The Barrel Race is open to Men and Women and All Around Points will be awarded to Dues Paying Exes!
Goat Ropings: Open to All Members. $40 entry. 1 go round with top 10 short go. Buckle awarded to adult winner. Youth goat roping will run concurrently. You must be under 16 years old and be family of a Member. $25 entry. 1 head only with a 3 loop or 2 minute limit. Prize awarded to Youth winner.
Breakaway Ropings: Open to All Members. $40 entry. 1 go round with top 10 short go. Buckle awarded to adult winner. Youth breakaway will run concurrently. You must be under 16 years old and be family of a Member. $25 entry. 1 head only with a 2 loop or 90 second limit. Prize awarded to Youth winner.
Ribbon Roping: Open to All Members. $40 entry. 1 go round with top 10 short go. 1 Buckle and 1 custom knife awarded to winner.
Exes Team Roping: Open to Exes only (just a SR Ex, not necessarily an ANRS Ex). $100 entry draw five partners. Buckles awarded to winners, with separate Buckles award to over 50 winners.
CHANGE FOR 2010 Family Team Roping: Open To Exes (just a SR Ex, not necessarily an ANRS Ex) and their Family only (see updated definition of family below). 3 for $30 entry. Buckles awarded to winners. We would like to have an open discussion at the Business Meeting on any proposed changes to the roping rules for 2011.
We also have an All-Around Arena Champion. Points are awarded to the highest placing individual in all arena events (including the barrel race). The Barrel Race remains an open event - for both men and women - and the winner will still receive a breast collar; however, points toward the All Around Arena Competition will be awarded to all dues paying Exes competing in the Barrel Race! The All-Around Arena Champion will win a breast collar and HUGE bragging rights!!
Kathy's Kosmic Kowgirl Kafe will have a concession stand during the Roping and Golf Tournament.
12:00 Noon Business Meeting and Elections at the S.A.L.E Arena (roping will be suspended). General Business will be conducted, membership issues can be brought forth and we will have a couple of important speakers at this brief meeting. We will also be electing four Directors. Write-in votes are allowed, but to be placed on the ballot, we must receive your nomination at ANRS@SRSU.org no later than July 16, 2010 (please include your hometown and the years that you attended Sul Ross with your nomination). All election ballots must be submitted by Noon.

Open to All Members (you DO NOT have to be an Ex to play golf!). “A” Players will be selected for the number of teams to play and will randomly draw their teams from all remaining players. $75 entry. Remember that you do not have to be an ANRS (RAS) graduate - or even a Sul Ross graduate - to participate in most of the Reunion Activities - all that is required is that you pay your annual membership dues and have an interest in supporting Sul Ross and the ANRS programs.
Definitions
Ex:
A graduate from Sul Ross State University (need not be an ANRS graduate) who
is a member in good standing with the ANRS & Rodeo Exes Association.
Member:
A person with interest in the ANRS and/or Rodeo Programs who is a member in
good standing with the ANRS & Rodeo Exes Association.
UPDATED Family: Spouse, grandparent, parent, step-parent, son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew, or niece of an Ex (see above definition) who is a member in good standing with the ANRS & Rodeo Exes Association.
50 and Over: As of the calendar year. IE: As of January 1 of the current year, if you are or will be 50 that calendar year, you are considered 50 and over.
