The ANRS & Rodeo Exes Association is an independent non-profit, charitable organization recognized
by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as an eligible 501(c)(3) entity. The mission of the Association
is to promote Sul Ross State University and to raise funds to be disbursed to deserving Agricultural
students and rodeo participants by the University. Neither the Board, nor the membership, of the
Association has any part in the selection of scholarship recipients. Membership to the Association
is open to all individuals interested in the mission and activities of the Association.
Membership is $50 annually. New or renewal memberships can be sent to:
ANRS & Rodeo Exes Treasurer
PO Box 539

2009 - 2010 Donors
Through your assistance, the Association has provided over $85,000 in scholarships (including nearly $20,000 in a permanent scholarship fund to provide future full four-year scholarships) since 2001. Half of the scholarships are awarded as academic scholarships and half as rodeo scholarships. Recipients for these scholarships are selected by the Dean of ANRS and, in the case of the Rodeo Scholarships, recommended by the Rodeo Coach.
The events at the Reunion do not generally result in tremendous amounts of scholarship funds, but rather scholarship funds are raised through donations and membership dues. Over the past couple of years, people have named the Association as a charitable organization in lieu of flowers as a memorial to loved ones. This extremely generous gesture has dramatically increased our revenues and honors us to be allowed to share the memory of your loved ones.
All funds raised by the Association are used to promote Sul Ross State University and the ANRS Department and Rodeo Program, primarily as scholarships - no Officers or Members receive any compensation for their time and efforts of assisting the Association. The only funds retained each year is start up money for the next year's Reunion. As a non-profit organization, we are required to file an annual tax return; additionally, we are proud to post our cash flow statement for 2009 and 2009 Tax Return here.
The ANRS & Rodeo Exes Association is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization and donations made to the Association are deductible under section 170 of the Code. All donations are acknowledged by the Association and all donations received in the honor of or memory of someone are acknowledged to the donor and also the honored individual.
